How can I place a desktop item from mac into the boot drive?

I bought a mac book and I installed windows on it to use the boot Parallel feature but when im on the mac part of it i cant place files like .jpg or .mp3 ( both in witch can be read my windows or mac) into the windows drive because an error message appears that says

” the Item ____ could not be moved because the drive could not be modified.”

Sounds like you formatted the volume NTFS? Macs can only read NTFS. It should have been formatted FAT, which OS X can write to.

Learn Cocoa on the Mac

Learn Cocoa on the Mac

$39.99

The Cocoa frameworks are some of the most powerful frameworks for creating native desktop applications available on any platform today, and Apple gives them away, along with the Xcode development environment, for free! However, for a first-time Mac developer, just firing up Xcode and starting to browse the documentation can be a daunting task. The Objective-C class reference documentation alone would fill thousands of printed pages, not to mention all the other tutorials and guides included with Xcode. Where do you start? Which classes are you going to need to use? How do you use Xcode and the rest of the tools? This book answers these questions and more, helping you find your way through the jungle of classes, tools, and new concepts so that you can get started on the next great Mac OS X application today. Jack Nutting is your guide through this forest; he's lived here for years, and he'll show you which boulder to push, which vine to chop, and which stream to float across in order to make it through. You will learn not only how to use the components of this rich framework, but also which of them fit together, and why. Jack Nutting's approach, combining pragmatic problem-solving with a deep respect for the underlying design philosophies contained within Cocoa, stems from years of experience using these frameworks. He'll show you which parts of your application require you to jump in and code a solution, and which parts are best served by letting Cocoa take you where it wants you to go. The path over what looks like a mountain of components and APIs has never been more thoroughly prepared for your travels. With Jack's guidance, the steep learning curve becomes a pleasurable adventure. There is still much work for the uninitiated, but by the time you're done, you will be well on your way to becoming a Cocoa Master. * Begin to really get to grips with the full Cocoa toolset-practical, hands-on learning* Become familiar with the core concepts at the heart of every Cocoa application* See which parts of the iPhone SDK overlap with the Mac OS X development tools so you can explore both Mac and iPhone development* Packed full of goodness and enthusiasm for the Cocoa frameworks from a developer perspective What you'll learn* How to actually make your own Cocoa applications-this is much more than just a quick introduction to Cocoa!*. Which classes, of the dozens included in Cocoa, are truly central to Cocoa development * How to best use MVC architecture concepts in a Cocoa application* How the various pieces of the Cocoa frameworks fit with each other and into the MVC architecture* Which parts of Cocoa truly enable "visual programming", letting you reap the benefits of proven, reusable code libraries that Apple gives you for free* How to recognize recurring design patterns used throughout Cocoa, and put them to proper use in your own code* How to approach Cocoa from different programming environments* How to use

Mac OS X Internals

$75.99

This is the eBook version of the printed book. Mac OS X was released in March 2001, but many components, such as Mach and BSD, are considerably older. Understanding the design, implementation, and workings of Mac OS X requires examination of several technologies that differ in their age, origins, philosophies, and roles. Mac OS X Internals: A Systems Approach is the first book that dissects the internals of the system, presenting a detailed picture that grows incrementally as you read. For example, you will learn the roles of the firmware, the bootloader, the Mach and BSD kernel components (including the process, virtual memory, IPC, and file system layers), the object-oriented I/O Kit driver framework, user libraries, and other core pieces of software. You will learn how these pieces connect and work internally, where they originated, and how they evolved. The book also covers several key areas of the Intel-based Macintosh computers. A solid understanding of system internals is immensely useful in design, development, and debugging for programmers of various skill levels. System programmers can use the book as a reference and to construct a better picture of how the core system works. Application programmers can gain a deeper understanding of how their applications interact with the system. System administrators and power users can use the book to harness the power of the rich environment offered by Mac OS X. Finally, members of the Windows, Linux, BSD, and other Unix communities will find the book valuable in comparing and contrasting Mac OS X with their respective systems. Mac OS X Internals focuses on the technical aspects of OS X and is so full of extremely useful information and programming examples that it will definitely become a mandatory tool for every Mac OS X programmer.

Shakespeare's drama originally circulated in the form of the individual actor's part, containing only a single character's speeches and brief cues. This unique collaboration of original theatre history with exciting literary criticism captures anew Shakespeare's development as a writer, showing how scripting and acting work together to produce characters of unprecedented immediacy. – ;A truly groundbreaking collaboration of original theatre history with exciting literary criticism, Shakespeare in Parts is the first book fully to explore the original form in which Shakespeare's drama overwhelmingly circulated. This was not the full play-text; it was not the public performance. It was the actor's part, consisting of the bare cues and speeches of each individual role. With group rehearsals rare or non-existent, the cued part alone had to furnish the actor. with his character. But each such part-text was riddled with gaps and uncertainties. The actor knew what he was going to say, but not necessarily when, or why, or to whom; he may have known next to nothing of any other part. It demanded the most sensitive attention to the opportunities inscribed in the script,. and to the ongoing dramatic moment. Here is where the young actor Shakespeare learnt his trade; here is where his imagination, verbal and technical, learnt to roam. This is the story of Shakespeare in Parts. As Shakespeare developed his playwriting, the apparent limitations of the medium get transformed into expressive opportunities. Both cue and speech become promise-crammed repositories of meaning and movement, and of individually discoverable space and time. Writing always for the same core group of players, Shakespeare could take – and insist upon – unprecedented risks. The result is onstage drama of astonishing immediacy. Starting with a comprehensive history of the part in early modern theatre, Simon Palfrey and Tiffany Stern's mould-altering work of historical and imaginative recovery provides a unique keyhole onto hitherto forgotten practices and techniques. It not only discovers a newly active, choice-ridden actor, but a new Shakespeare. – ;Elegantly written…a ground-breaking study, which shows how Shakespeare the technician sought always to expand the mental possibilities for the actors. – Ralph Berry, Contemporary Review;Rarely has so much new and exciting information about Shakespeare been gathered in a single study. The challenges of this book for how we conceive of, teach, write about and perform Shakespeare will surely be felt for years to come. – Douglas Bruster, The Review of English Studies;…undeniably of major importance. – Paul Dean English Studies;…a groundbreaking new study…The consideration of characters and their textual construction is a revelation. ..The book is exactly as scrupulous and thorough as the subject deserves…For professional Shakespeareans in the theatre or the university, it is required reading. – Tom Cornfor

A visionary and optimistic thinker examines the tension between privacy and publicness that is transforming how we form communities, create identities, do business, and live our lives. Thanks to the internet, we now live—more and more—in public. More than 750 million people (and half of all Americans) use Facebook, where we share a billion times a day. The collective voice of Twitter echoes instantly 100 million times daily, from Tahrir Square to the Mall of America, on subjects that range from democratic reform to unfolding natural disasters to celebrity gossip. New tools let us share our photos, videos, purchases, knowledge, friendships, locations, and lives.Yet change brings fear, and many people—nostalgic for a more homogeneous mass culture and provoked by well-meaning advocates for privacy—despair that the internet and how we share there is making us dumber, crasser, distracted, and vulnerable to threats of all kinds. But not Jeff Jarvis. In this shibboleth-destroying book, Public Parts argues persuasively and personally that the internet and our new sense of publicness are, in fact, doing the opposite. Jarvis travels back in time to show the amazing parallels of fear and resistance that met the advent of other innovations such as the camera and the printing press. The internet, he argues, will change business, society, and life as profoundly as Gutenberg’s invention, shifting power from old institutions to us all.Based on extensive interviews, Public Parts introduces us to the men and women building a new industry based on sharing. Some of them have become household names—Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, Google’s Eric Schmidt, and Twitter’s Evan Williams. Others may soon be recognized as the industrialists, philosophers, and designers of our future. Jarvis explores the promising ways in which the internet and publicness allow us to collaborate, think, ways—how we manufacture and market, buy and sell, organize and govern, teach and learn. He also examines the necessity as well as the limits of privacy in an effort to understand and thus protect it. This new and open era has already profoundly disrupted economies, industries, laws, ethics, childhood, and many other facets of our daily lives. But the change has just begun. The shape of the future is not assured. The amazing new tools of publicness can be used to good ends and bad. The choices—and the responsibilities—lie with us. Jarvis makes an urgent case that the future of the internet—what one technologist calls “the eighth continent”—requires as much protection as the physical space we share, the air we breathe, and the rights we afford one another. It is a space of the public, for the public, and by the public. It needs protection and respect from all of us. As Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in the wake of the uprisings in the Middle East, “If people around the world are goin

4 comments to Mac Book Parts

  • Most parts of the movie are boring for me. Maybe people who’ve read the book enjoy this part…

  • The Nintendo Wii started off the revolution of movement based gaming handle, but they were not the initially. The Sony PS3 remotes have had gyroscopes in the remote way prior to the Wii was released, but the total independence that Nintendo produced with their WiiMote has not been defeat due to the fact. For Nintendo Wii followers this new way to control the game method, is not only groundbreaking, but also a very immersive gaming encounter. There has in no way been a mainstream gaming system that has brought the entire family into the gaming action the way that the Nintendo Wii has in the total history of console gaming.

  • I assume this is among the most significant data for me. And i’m glad reading your write-up. But need to remark on some basic things, The website style is perfect, the articles is truly superb

  • Hey you I’m a huge backer of your site. Hope you keep updating it all the time.
